How to Find Your Employee ID (emplid)



The EmplID
All employees of the university are assigned a 7-digit Employee ID number.  Here is how to lookup your EmplID is.  If you are student employee, you also have one assigned.  When the Student Information System comes online, all students will have a similar number.

There are two methods to lookup your EmplID:

  1. Login to the Case HCM system.  Navigate to "Payroll and Compensation Home."  Select "Payroll Information," and your Employee ID number is displayed next to your payroll data.
  2. Follow this link to the ERP system page concerning your Confidentiality Agreement.

Success Stories
These are some systems and workflow environments at Case who have successfully changed from using SSN to EmplID or an alternative non-SSN identifier.
  1. Kelvin Smith Library accounts.
  2. Case Procurement Cards.
  3. Case Key shop requests have transitioned to EmplID.
  4. Case Human Resources Department has changed processes with benefits providers to remove SSNs from prescription, and health care insurance ID cards.
  5. The Department of Occupational and Environmental Safety has transitioned to EmplID in their training program.
  6. For faculty and staff, Access Services, is beginning to use EmplID for granting access to facilities.
